Defence Cooperation: Pursuing India's National Interests

The study explores the larger strategic and geo-political consequences of defence cooperation. It traces the growth in the importance of defence cooperation and looks at its conceptual and theoretical premises as related to Indian foreign policy thus far. A further section deals with the limitations and prospects of defence cooperation for India in the near future. The study also explores the general direction in which India’s foreign policy is headed and the role defence cooperation has to play in that wider arena.
