DéJà Vu

<p class=ql-align-justify>Zenia raised in the shadow of violence and rejection escapes life in a final act of despair: she takes her own life. Trapped in the liminal space between life and death she awakens in a dreamlike world born from her own paintings. With blood indelibly staining her hands and the memory of her death lost to oblivion she encounters Persephone the Queen of the Underworld. Refusing to submit to the fate Persephone imposes upon her Zenia is condemned for her defiance a sentence to wander the depths of Hades where her soul is considered unlawful. There she must uncover the truth behind her death the only way to cleanse the blood from her hands and reclaim her destiny.</p><p class=ql-align-justify></p><p class=ql-align-justify>As she journeys through the surreal underworld guided by voices both familiar and deceiving Zenia meets three figures who marked turning points in her life: Theodore a brother paralyzed by his own fear; Eleonore a former friend and treacherous ally; and Alexander the dark figure who stole her innocence and the last person she saw before her death.</p><p class=ql-align-justify></p><p class=ql-align-justify>Déjà Vu is a poetic journey through the ruins of the soul. The story weaves together classical narration with contemporary themes of gender identity social rejection and rebirth. Its structure echoes the Chorus and the poetic dialogue of ancient Greek tragedy reimagined through a modern literary lens. Through lyrical prose and fragmented memory Déjà Vu explores the struggle for self-acceptance and the fundamental right to exist.</p><p class=ql-align-justify></p><p class=ql-align-justify>Will Zenia seize control of her fate or will she be consumed by the blood of her guilt paying the price for her crime?</p>
