DEL U.S. Marshal

<p>In a raw Idaho Territory still being hammered into shape Delbert Del Taylor wears the star of a U.S. Marshal like a promise he made to his dead and living both. Once a saloon man and freight hauler now the only law standing between the Clearwater country and the men who would own it outright Del rides a hard line through burned wagons rigged ledgers and backroom deals that smell of easy money and cheap blood. When a shadowy freight raider and a polished town investor begin using debt guns and gossip to turn neighbor against neighbor-and even try to hang their crimes on Del himself-he has to fight with more than a fast draw: he leans on his wits his worn faith in honest work and the fierce loyalty of the daughter who learned the law at his side. In the end Del must decide how much of himself he's willing to spend to keep one rough-hewn town free and whether a man can hold his country together without losing the family that gives it meaning.</p>
