Delimitation of the study of writing

When studying writing there is a risk of dispersion due to the great number of approaches that exist in order to give an account of it. Writing is a subject a subject so broad that it seems to touch all branches of human knowledge: it is studied from history from art and also from science. Addressing it in this book implied doing it from psychology and education because they have not been exempt from its study either. Throughout the book we review some of the most relevant psychological conceptual developments for the understanding of what writing is and what the writer does beyond the tracing of letters on a sheet of paper.
