About The Book

The book is an outcome of a vast compilation of data both literatures wise and clinical wise on impact of COVID -19 on Dental Practice and Dental education.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The emergence of the highly infectious novel coronavirus has led to a global pandemic in a span of just 3 months.

The modern world in which all individuals are able to rapidly travel and communicate has been rarely forced to the current social isolation and restrictions which are linked to feelings of frustration and incertainty.

Shortly after announcing the need for "social distancing" and reducing all face-to-face contact such as teaching and training programs the immediate impact of COVID-19 on the field of dental education was observed quite early due to the significant impact of the pandemic. Worldwide colleges have been facing the devastating COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. Lockdowns in pre-clinics and clinics limited to no access to clinical learning opportunities for students and no available treatment for patients in faculties clinics are just some of the challenges faced in dental education

We hope that this small effort of our help not only undergraduate students and postgraduate students but also to all clinicians and General population who deal with the COVID-19 Pandemic
