Derp Meets Earth

<p>DERP MEETS EARTH is an otherworldly adventure for ages 6 to 10 that engages the reader as</p><p>the characters face encounters and obstacles while forging unique and lasting friendships.</p><p>Derp Meets Earth is a look at the lives of three alien children and their pet who crash land a</p><p>hijacked space pod on earth and learn to survive in a whole new world of dangerous characters</p><p>and exciting happenings.</p><p><br></p><p>The story is filled with lovable likable core characters that even though they are not of this</p><p>world are flawed just as humans are. They are typical kids; they make mistakes and then must</p><p>live with those decisions and do their best to overcome the challenges that result.</p><p>They must confront prejudice for their uniqueness yet they find that true friendship does not care</p><p>if you are covered with long fur or come from another planet it is who you are that really</p><p>matters.</p><p><br></p><p>On the planet Murgon Derp Squeep and Ziba are just regular kids. They go to school hang out</p><p>together walking on the ceiling of Derp's house and since there isn't any gravity on Murgon it's</p><p>a pretty normal kid activity. They're just kids you know. They are likable and a lot like us </p><p>except covered in long colorful fur.</p><p><br></p><p>Earth is pretty well known in the universe. Derp Squeep and Ziba learned of our ways as the</p><p>people of Murgon had always planned to visit Earth. They quickly learn that there is much more</p><p>to this planet than what they learned in textbooks. Yes Earth is everything they have learned</p><p>about but it can be a very dangerous place for those who are different.</p><p><br></p><p>We join the alien children as they get a little closer to going home or are they? Derp does his</p><p>best to keep his friends focused but with all the colorful distractions on Earth and the dangers</p><p>they face from the evil Dr. Kenpus who is always trying to kidnap and experiment on them </p><p>they'll never be able to work together long enough to fix their pod.</p><p><br></p><p>Through their struggles the friends explore this new world and through their eyes we see the</p><p>earth from a perspective that like a child is full of wonder and questions.</p><p><br></p><p>The story reinforces the loyalty and friendship Derp Squeep and Ziba have for each other. The</p><p>adventures they share are all part of a common bond of unique children in a world that doesn't</p><p>completely accept them as they are. They may argue they may disagree and each has their own</p><p>plan of how best to return home but they remain steadfast in their love respect and admiration</p><p>for one another. They are the truest of friends; something that we learn is the same whatever</p><p>planet you are from.
