Derp Meets Earth

<p>DERP MEETS EARTH is an otherworldly adventure for ages 6 to 10 that engages the reader as<br>the characters face encounters and obstacles while forging unique and lasting friendships.<br>Derp Meets Earth is a look at the lives of three alien children and their pet who crash land a<br>hijacked space pod on earth and learn to survive in a whole new world of dangerous characters<br>and exciting happenings.<br>The story is filled with lovable likable core characters that even though they are not of this<br>world are flawed just as humans are. They are typical kids; they make mistakes and then must<br>live with those decisions and do their best to overcome the challenges that result.<br>They must confront prejudice for their uniqueness yet they find that true friendship does not care<br>if you are covered with long fur or come from another planet it is who you are that really<br>matters.<br>On the planet Murgon Derp Squeep and Ziba are just regular kids. They go to school hang out<br>together walking on the ceiling of Derp's house and since there isn't any gravity on Murgon it's<br>a pretty normal kid activity. They're just kids you know. They are likable and a lot like us<br>except covered in long colorful fur.<br>Earth is pretty well known in the universe. Derp Squeep and Ziba learned of our ways as the<br>people of Murgon had always planned to visit Earth. They quickly learn that there is much more<br>to this planet than what they learned in textbooks. Yes Earth is everything they have learned<br>about but it can be a very dangerous place for those who are different.<br>We join the alien children as they get a little closer to going home or are they? Derp does his<br>best to keep his friends focused but with all the colorful distractions on Earth and the dangers<br>they face from the evil Dr. Kenpus who is always trying to kidnap and experiment on them<br>they'll never be able to work together long enough to fix their pod.<br>Through their struggles the friends explore this new world and through their eyes we see the<br>earth from a perspective that like a child is full of wonder and questions.<br>The story reinforces the loyalty and friendship Derp Squeep and Ziba have for each other. The<br>adventures they share are all part of a common bond of unique children in a world that doesn't<br>completely accept them as they are. They may argue they may disagree and each has their own<br>plan of how best to return home but they remain steadfast in their love respect and admiration<br>for one another. They are the truest of friends; something that we learn is the same whatever<br>planet you are from.</p>
