Descriptive study of journalistic neology in Algeria

The present manuscript has been written to study the linguistic aspects in the elaboration and functioning of neologisms in the Algerian context. We have limited our field of observation to the written press where linguistic creative and plurilingual practices abound especially in journalistic discourse. We have chosen to work on a written corpus comprising 300 neologisms collected from the three most widely read daily newspapers in Algeria: El Watan Liberté and the Quotidien d''Oran for the period from February 2019 to December 2019.
