Desert Rose

<p>This tale is an exhilarating example in song format of the old saying Never judge a book by its cover.</p><p></p><p>The protagonist is an experienced if young cowgirl who simply wants a healthy strong well-trained horse. When a wrangler offers to sell her Desert Rose she believes it's the horse she's been looking for and at a surprisingly reasonable price. She takes the time to inspect the horse carefully and thoroughly even checking its response to common triggers for bad behaviour. The horse shows itself to be extraordinarily calm and well-mannered.
