Design and Layout of Coastal Aquaculture Farms

Present book will increase the understanding of different coastal aquaculture farms with special focus on Engineering aspects and layout of the shrimp farms. The application of aquaculture engineering is growing very fast. The areas of interest to modernize and improve aquaculture for augmenting its production effectively include selection of an ideal site layout plan design and construction preparation of master plan for large scale aquaculture complex design and construction of exchange structures of water intake systems such as seawater intake system in different coastal regions intake of tidal water system freshwater intake system from major multipurpose project barrages canals sluice gates proper drainage systems construction and maintenance of proper infrastructure selection and design of major equipments such as high discharge pumps aerators feeders feed plants etc.
