Design of a simple and differential thermal analysis device

About The Book

In the need to enhance our laboratory equipment we wanted to design a temperature measurement device with a hardware and software system that would allow simple and differential thermal analysis. Arduino® programs were developed to read temperatures from three different types of electrical sensors: the K thermocouple the DS18B20 probe and the LM35 sensor. A PID-controlled oven using Arduino® was also designed to perform thermal analysis. The ATS and ATD curves were obtained using Python programs. The experiments carried out concluded that the device had acceptable accuracy and precision.
