Design of an educational intervention on prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer is the most frequent cancer after skin carcinomas constituting a health problem. In Cuba it constitutes the second cause of death by cancer in men with an increasing trend in incidence and mortality. An educational intervention on prostate cancer was designed and carried out in patients over 40 years old who were surveyed before and after the application of the designed educational intervention obtaining satisfactory results that support the designed educational intervention as an effective tool in the reduction of risk factors that predispose to the appearance of prostate cancer.
