Design of Optical Fiber Systems Using Optical Filters

The objective of this research work is to enhance the transmission distance of vertical cavity surface emitting laser based optical fiber communication schemes at the data rate of 10 Gb/s by controlling the laser chirp. This can be achieved by employing optical filtering schemes Mach-Zehnder interferometer scheme with optical filter and pre-emphasis scheme with optical filters in the design of the optical systems.
