Effective Leadership has changed significantly in the last few decades. We have moved from Leaders get things done through others (the top-down approach that was common last-century and prevails in some organizations even today) to the phrase coined by Clive Wilson Leaders see a brighter future and consciously create the conditions in which it will happen. The first and most significant of these conditions is a strong sense of purpose aligned to the needs of the world (our brighter future). There are another eight conditions all of which must be consciously aligned to Purpose: Vision; Engagement; Structure; Character; Results; Success and Talent.
