Determinants in choosing a financial institution

Financial institutions play a decisive role in a country's development collecting savings from those with surplus cash and granting credit to those in need of financing. The bankruptcy of a number of financial institutions in the city of Goma last year has had an impact on the behaviour of some savers which is why we have conducted this research into the financial sector focusing on the new motives determining the choice of a financial institution by households in the city of Goma. To achieve this we asked ourselves what criteria determine the choice of a financial institution or a cooperative by households in the city of Goma.
