Determinants of CD-ROMs use in Academic Libraries

In the 21st century there has been an explosion of information resources.Successful teachers learners and researchers have to be information literate and librarians are being called upon to contribute in impacting on information literacy for success of information access and retrieval. Advances in information technology urge for information providers to repackage and generate alternative products which are easy to search browse and retrieve and this has led to hybrid libraries. It is difficult to think of libraries without some content in electronic format like CD-ROM's which are not replacing the other sources of information rather they are a complement to them.
