About The Book

The present study was conducted to identify and examine the influence of selected demographic and socioeconomic factors on the utilization of antenatal care delivery care and under-five immunization coverage. It has employed cross sectional study design and households survey questionnaire to collect data. The study has applied multi-stage and systematic random sampling techniques and interviewed 122 randomly selected mothers of reproductive age (15-49 years) identified as having a pregnancy outcome or being mothers of a child aged 12-59 months a year preceding the survey. Logistic regression technique was used to determine the effects of demographic and socioeconomic factors on outcome variables. The results showed that 80.3% of the women had at least one antenatal care visit 60.7% of the women had skill delivery and 68.9% of the under-five children have completed all the recommended vaccines. Overall utilization of these services was considered to be fairly high but needs demonstrated efforts.
