Development of a Refrigerated and Controlled Atmosphere Onion Storage

The research work was aimed at determining the dielectric properties of onions which was used to determine the sizes of refrigeration equipment to be used in other to achieve a determined storage temperature as obtained from literature the components are coupled to a controlled atmosphere storage system whose storage area was developed using an old refrigerator which was adapted specifically for onion storage in a developing country like Nigeria.
