Folk songs have their own sweetness. The culture of that region and society is included in the folk songs. It is a matter of great regret that in our passion to display our modernity we are being cut off from our folk songs and culture. Through this book it is our endeavour to connect you with Bhojpuri folk songs and Bhojpuri culture customs. There are 45 folk songs in this compilation that are sung on different occasions. It has Bhojpuri devotional songs songs for marriage (Haldi Mado Kanyadaan Lava Milai) Chhath Godhan Barhamasa Kajari Janam and Chhathi. It means that this compilation contains all those songs sung on different occasions which make that occasion special and attractive and give dignity to the program. We dont know whose original these songs are. Our mother has given us this song by writing it with her own hands. Mother has the heritage of these songs written by her mother i.e. my grandmother. Our aim is to preserve that heritage and to introduce it to future generations to connect with it.
