Diabetes and Infant Mortality in Lesotho

Diabetes is a very dangerous disease and if not treated can lead to sickness or ultimately death although diabetes affects everyone whether young or old female or male; this paper concentrates only on women and their children. This is to see how the mother`s diagnosis of diabetes affects the life of the child. With evidence from previous research it can be seen that diabetes does affect infant mortality in a large spectrum and may even harm the health of the mother. Using basic research methods and quantitative analysis this research found that diabetics indeed was a deadly disease even though results did not show as much a difference as to how diabetes affect the infant mortality of Lesotho a conclusion was reached that a more detailed study should be undertaken in the near future. This book therefore can be useful to every person in the public health sector and researchers who are mostly involved in infant mortality issues and also maternal mortality it can also be beneficial to antenatal facilities to enlighten them about pregnancy issues relating to diabetes.
