Her initiatives focused on education vocational training and improving living conditions.<br>A daycare centre was established for children and garbage was converted into manure to improve hygiene. She also implemented a grievance-redressal system through mobile petition boxes and launched the Tihar Bakery to generate welfare funds.<br>Dr. Bedi's work transformed Tihar into a global model of collective corrective and community-based policing proving that reformation is possible with visionary leadership and compassion. She has focused on her 4-S model - Shiksha (education) Sanskar (values) Swasthya (health) and Skills. Her legacy continues through the India Vision Foundation which strives to create a more humane and rehabilitative prison system.
