Diamonds Forever

I have always deeply wished to write a book for children. Then I learned of diamond poems which are poems with two contrasting ideas with a linking middle sentence that changes from first to second idea using nouns. An idea struck my mind. I shall write a book intended to help children of all ages to build their vocabulary using these poems. A second idea reeled in. The book will include illustrations from diverse number of children. Then I had a dream that this book would raise money to help a school in my hometown Korogwe. Then followed a second dream that one day this book would be accessible to all school children in my native country Tanzania. In a few weeks time this book came about. I had much fun revisiting my inner child during this journey. An added blessing was to have shared it with a bunch of creative kids whose work is portrayed here too. Have joy recalling the child in you!
