They were homebodies having no desire to serve the Lord anywhere except in the United States of America. Diary of a Call gives you a peek behind the curtains at the agonizing months and years of prayer and soul searching that preceded their surrender to God's Call. You'll see the many ways the enemy tried to interfere... As the Apostle Paul said <em>because</em> <em>a wide door for effective service has opened to me [in Ephesus a very promising door of opportunity] and there are many adversaries. </em>Serious health issues attacked them sometimes tempting them to believe their poor health would be too great a hindrance for them to go Japan. Later Donn was told that Japan was one of the few countries to which OMS doctors would have approved him to go because of their excellent health care system. When her health deteriorated Daisy learned of a man who had been told If you go to (that country) it will kill you. The man responded It is necessary that I go. It is not necessary that I live. Her battle statement became Satan I'm going to answer God's call even if it kills me. Instead her health was renewed by the diagnosing and treatment of a previously unknown condition.</p><p class=ql-align-justify></p><p class=ql-align-justify>A beta reader for this book told Donn and Daisy recently We hear precious little about the cost of obedience in Christian's lives today.
