<p>As a marine engineer the writer has served on various ships belonging to different companies. As such he has had the opportunity to visit many parts of the world. In this book he writes about his experiences while working for a European Shipping company that ran a regular service between Europe and West Africa.</p><p>In Europe the ships call at ports in Italy France Spain and Portugal. On the West African coast regular stops were made at Senegal Ivory Coast Benin Angola Gabon and Cameroun.
