Diaspora of Things

<p>Diaspora of Things an extended poetic sequence digs into the world of emotional artifacts as a means to negotiate one's relationship with the dead. When the house is sold the poet excavates her mother's mute collection of objects as if after a shipwreck searching for clues that might leap across and bridge the silence.  In grief our deepest values are exposed questioned and asserted - touching upon the nature of art at the core of survival itself.  Portrait auto-portrait Diaspora of Things engages in phenomenology as yearning for and gesture towards acceptance.</p><p></p><p></p>
