About The Book

Prime Minister's unanimous rule prevails in India's parliamentary system. In a way it is a dictatorship of democracy. Because in the Indian parliamentary system the Prime Minister gets unlimited powers and his responsiveness is almost nil as seen in the time of demonetisation and GST implementation.
Whenever there is talk of democracy in the context of India we immediately remember the Emergency imposed by Prime Minister of India Smt. Indira Gandhi in 1975. His opponents call him an unsuitable example of dictatorship but the administrative system was so well established that all the work was being done in a timely manner and in the public interest. That is why Indira Raj of Emergency is still remembered.
How does dictatorship enter democracy and how can it be prevented. I have chosen this topic to discuss the same problem. By which we can understand our responsibility by staying within the constitutional limits and bringing the truth before the society and informing them about the facts. So that public opinion can be prepared against dictatorship in democracy.
