The present work was focused on improving the prosocial competences of 8th grade EGB students of the Basic Education School 2 de marzo starting from an analysis of the students'' behavior during the teaching-learning process. The study was oriented in a mixed research with a descriptive and documental link in order to describe the characteristics and dimensions of prosocial behaviors. The study population consisted of 70 students who were administered a 15-question questionnaire with Likert-type items with the dimensions of cooperation solidarity and empathy. The instrument was validated and constructed under the expert judgment methodology reaching a Cronbach''s alpha statistic of 0.848. The results contrasted certain needs for improvement in each dimension. Based on this analysis a methodological guide is proposed that contains strategies duly structured and based on the current reality in the teaching and learning processes to be duly applied in each classroom.
