Difficulties in the job market for secretarial professionals

The general aim of this book is to show the difficulties encountered by Executive Secretarial (ES) professionals in entering the job market. To this end a qualitative study was carried out with in-depth interviews with Executive Secretarial professionals and Human Resources managers. After analyzing the data it was found that the difficulties faced by ES professionals in entering the job market are: Lack of vacancies for ES in public tenders scarcity of vacancies in the private sector; lack of adequate remuneration for the profession; lack of recognition by managers; lack of knowledge of duties and also a demanding competitive market.
