Digital books and primary education

The advent of cyberculture has seen the emergence of new socio-cultural practices mediated by technology. These changes support all sectors of society and the education system is no different. In view of the presence of technology countries are seeking to develop educational programs with the aim of modernizing education and improving the way knowledge is passed on in the classroom. In this context the textbook is one of the main tools we use to acquire knowledge and its reconfiguration to digital format enhances the inclusion of technology in students' daily lives. This paper therefore aims to highlight the implementation of the digital textbook in primary education in Brazilian public schools through government programs.
