The author examines the intergenerational and socio-economic differentiation in the level of digital and information competencies in specific age groups in Slovakia. Using statistical methods the author verifies significance of the differences in the level of digital competencies digital ethos and digital entrance between the members of the Internet generation their parents and the raising parental generation. The empirical findigns point to the raise of digital generation of parents that can accompany their children in digital world without digital divide in the field of digital literacy. Based on the intergenerational comparison age-related differencies in the structure of digital competencies are confirmed due to the overlapping of the online and offline socialibility. The work points to the reduction of the digital generation divide of digital literacy and the persistence of the socioecomic digital divide.
