DIPLOMACY

A substantial part in international studies and diplomacy relates to the study of foreign policy and inter-state relations. Several authors and practitioners of diplomacy have studied major aspects of either international studies or diplomacy and the interest in both fields is still relevant when one considers the number of published works in academia. Generally international studies cover topics within the field of humanities and social sciences. On the other hand diplomacy covers topics in the field of political sciences specialising on the dynamics and subtilities of international studies topics and their interplay in the world and across nations. The book at hand aims at giving students and practitioners of diplomacy an insight on recent developments which helped shape the contemporary world; notably in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region as well as in Central Asia in a post-Cold War era.
