Discursive character portrait in English fiction text

This book describes the methodology of creating a discursive portrait of a character in an artistic English story. With the help of comparative quantitative and discourse analysis the speech features of the characters are determined which are conditioned by their psychological features. The book pays special attention to the author''s tactics and strategies of embodying the personality of the artistic character.
