A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out with the aim of describing the behavior of temporomandibular disorders associated with posterior tooth loss in older adults of the CMF 15 of the Amancio municipality in the period from September 2020 to February 2021. The universe consisted of 374 adults over 60 years of age of the CMF 15 and the sample consisted of 234 who presented signs and symptoms of TMD. It was possible to conclude that the age group of 60-69 years represented almost half of the sample and the female sex predominated in a little more than half while headache represented more than three quarters of those included in the study and among the signs the presence of joint noise predominated in almost three quarters of the older adults with TMD moderate TMD predominated and older adults with upper posterior bilateral edentulousness represented a little more than a third of the total studied.
