Distance Education as a means of inclusion in Higher Education

Distance education has shown itself to be a tool for access to education because by making use of technological means as well as breaking down geographical barriers it allows students to better manage their time for study. However because it is an educational category relegated in the past to the lower classes of society there is a preconceived idea that this type of education is not concerned with quality or professional training.
