Diversity of the Fabaceae family

Fabaceae is one of the largest families of angiosperms with representatives widely distributed throughout the globe represented by three subfamilies (Caesalpinioideae Mimosoideae and Faboideae) and 36 tribes. Floristic and taxonomic studies indicate Fabaceae as one of the most representative families in forest formations. This book presents three new records for Maranhão and one new record for the Northeast. Identification keys descriptions and images of all species studied were prepared.
