Vestibular Rehabilitation as a supplementary or sole therapy is an excellent therapeutic choice for patients with vestibular disorders. Primarily described for use in adults with injuries following traumatic brain injury it is now also used to treat dizziness of metabolic origin. However the influence of comorbidities on the final response to therapy is well known. When not properly resolved systemic processes end up negatively influencing vestibular adaptation leading to a partial response or even no response at the end of treatment. It is therefore necessary to characterise this population so that vestibular rehabilitation can provide multimodal therapy which will be planned according to the etiology of the dizziness and the patient's individual needs. Research aimed at characterising the conditions presented by patients with dizziness will allow for continuity in the development of care and may also help in the development of health promotion campaigns.
