Do You Know The Truth?

I spent thirty-?ve years of my sober life helping others. I worked all the steps in Alcoholics Anonymous religiously but my happiness only lasted formoments. Joy I thought meant getting the things I wanted (relationships money success); most of the time I felt alone and depressed. Thirty years sober I was on the verge of running going back to doing things on my own and possibly losing my sobriety. That was when God called me and I would learn about Jesus my Lord and Savior. I was sixty years old when I discovered Jesus.My life would be meaningless without my relationship with Jesus. I learned Jesus could give me joy regardless of the circumstances in my life. Truthnever changes; knowledge of God's word and living by His example gave me spiritual joy. Being manic-depressive and by-polar ?nding Jesus Ino longer feel alone. I have been studying the Bible for over ten years. I had so many conceptions and prejudices toward God. Jesus didn't come down to condemn me; Hegave me choices on the way I live and feel. Regardless of my circumstances my age or how broken I think Jesus gives you hope! Regardless of Religion and what others taught you about God Jesus wants you to have a personal relationship of your own. Following His examplewill lead to eternal freedom!
