Do You Love Me?

<p>This book is a memoir about a father and the effects he had on his wife and children. The family left Cuba in 1968 and arrived in America with very little. The father's passion and determination to build a life for himself and his family would come to fruition but with many victims along the way. Years of hard work and opportunities allowed him to build a trucking business and attain property and a life on the side filled with money women and drugs. The family would pay the price for his success through years of physical mental and sexual abuse and many other unwanted circumstances. </p><p></p><p>Throughout the book the reader will witness the brokenness of the family and their gradual resilience as they grow older. The writer will take the reader through a present and past journey into the world she remembered and observed and the one she survived as a daughter. Many untold stories will be revealed about this man. These stories will carefully depict this complicated untamed and narcissistic man who caused so much suffering and anguish. Along the way the writer will share brief moments of hope kindness and love from this man. The years of anger from the writer will be felt throughout the book yet will end with forgiveness closure and a return to love for her father.</p>
