About The Book

In this research the writer explores the similarities between David Edgar‟s play Pentecost and all the conflicts which raged between all characters and the mythological story of Pentecost what happened when the Jews gathered on one idea to build a tower for reaching the sky but God divided them into different tongues and languages this similarity was exposed in the different tongues of kidnappers. The mythology was reflected in the small conflicts between the characters in the play to expose many different political conflicts. The conflicts were playing as a docudramatic device to show the historical records of political dilemmas such as the Palestinian Cause the Azerbaijani and Armenian conflict the war in Afghanistan and the Kurdish problems with Turkey. The researcher tries to clarify the relationship between all those minor conflicts and their political roots due to a lack of negotiation. If only people try to find a mutual language of communication between each other and try to reach a resolution for minor conflicts we would not come up to a major crisis.
