Dolphin Sands

On the day after his 70th birthday carrying a bag containing only a few meagre belongings Petrus finds himself boarding a flight to new beginnings. Alone now in the unfamiliar surroundings of Dolphin Sands his isolation enlivened only by the smile of a housekeeper half his age and by the fictional world of his erotic story writing Petrus resolves to track down his lost love Lila from 27 years before. Told with both humour and introspection this is the intimate story of the rebuilding of their friendship of the rekindling of passions which are not the sole province of the young and of the complexities of lives brought together that differences in age can so easily break apart. Ultimately it explores where the self ends and real love begins.
