Double Act

<p>These photographs and writing comprised part of an exhibition held at the Library of Birmingham in the first half of 2025.</p><p>Entitled In Search of Urban Happiness the exhibition was paralleled by a similar exhibition in Halifax.</p><p>David Moore a social historian wrote words and took photographs to illustrate his perception of Birmingham landmarks</p><p>Further illustrations in poetic form were provided by Ian Henery a well-known award-winning local poet and radio presenter.</p><p>Together these words and images provide haunting personal interpretations of many of Birmingham's major features ranging from the famous central Bull of the Bullring to housing estates on the edges of the city.</p>
