As a woman in her 50s who had been saved as a 12-year-old girl I had completed devotions for years. As an adult I began to teach Sunday School classes using quarterly leader guides to assist me in understanding what the lesson writer wanted to convey. But I wanted more...more than a lesson that someone else wrote about God more than a 5-minute devotional reading that included an anecdote about a short passage of scripture more than a box checked off my to-do list showing that I had completed my daily duty to God. </span></p><p></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(36 36 36 1)>The more I grew spiritually the more I longed to know the Lord better. I desired to know God's character understand Jesus's teachings and have a clearer picture of His will for my life.
