Honestly this narrative just came together so well with everything from themes to dialogue wrapping up a concise plot that had me Googling purely for my own interest and leaves me with the desire to learn more about Scotland!

<em style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>Merida is simply a delight. Light enough to captivate a young audience but with enough depth to keep me thinking about the story even days after having first read it. I love the way you depict Merida - her coming-of-age arc feels earned and I would genuinely love to see more within this same world! I know you mentioned that this was your first novel within this genre - I think you nail middle-grade thematic staples and I know this book would have been a huge hit with me when I was younger!

<em style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>DREAMING THROUGH HISTORY was a sweet educational read that reminded me so much of the Magic Tree House Series but with the dreaming mechanics of Stravaganza. Merida's character arc was powerful and inspiring and I loved reading about how she learned to stand up for not only herself but others who didn't think they had a voice. It's a much needed story for young readers especially those who think history surely can't apply to them.
