Drik Drishya viveka of Sankaracharya with Malayalam commentry. One who is in deep sleep has no Drshya. So there is no Drk also. One who is awake is attached to his body. For him he sees the whole world and is associated with it. Where is the Drk and Drshya for him? As the Drk is the Sakshi within him. Is he the Sakshi? If the Sakshi is the one seeing hearing etc then I am the Sakshi. Then we are always the Sakshi. Sakshi will not be the drsya for Sakshi there are no limitations like I mine etc. the limitations are related to drsya. To be the drsya it has to be known. If we say I am this etc then we are limited. When we are bound with limitations such as “this” and “that” we get intertwined in circumstances. Example: I am knowledgeable I have a job I am awake etc is setting limits. There are also other limits such as I am poor I am thinking I don’t have anything. Such limitations are set by me.
