About The Book

This book tells the story of an ordinary man who overcame numerous obstacles through hard work determination and courage. As a child he was forced to work full time in the sugar industry. Yet he persevered and went on to have a promising future. He and his wife produced nine very successful children. Rupert Davis is the embodiment of Jamaicas history: son of a white overseer on a plantation black mother Indian grandmother and great-grandfather a slave from the Ashanti tribe of Ghana. Thus he is an embodiment of Jamaicas motto: Out of Many One People. He also served in the Royal Air Force during World War 2 and had POWs under his command. After he retired from his job he became the chairman of many boards and also became a Justice of the Peace.
