Jackie has been overly pampered throughout her entire life and now she never wants to grow up. However her cosy lifestyle is thrown into complete chaos when her parents give her an ultimatum: get married or move out. She must immediately let go of her party girl ways and is forced to deal with many tricky obstacles including money a jealous family member and even an unexpected romance so that she can prove to her parents and most importantly to herself that she's not a complete failure. Filled with many anecdotes about East Indian customs from quirky family gatherings to a mother who is all too eager to get her only daughter married Jackie's story is about a spoiled little girl who must quickly turn into an independent woman.
