Dual-phase steel in stamped components for vehicle bodies

In this book the dual phase steel (advanced steel known commercially as dual phase) was analysed. This analysis comprised its obtainment its mechanical properties the relationship between its microstructure and its performance and a comparison with a microalloyed steel. The use of advanced steels can provide manufacturing cost reduction due to the weight reduction of the component besides improvement in its performance in service. The following characteristics are studied: processing chemical composition microstructure and mechanical properties.
