Short stories of the life of a poor Kentucky / Indiana country boy trying to find himself with bad luck and hard times. Born to a 16 year-old unwed mother Tommy tried his best to make his step-dad proud to always be strong and brave and never complain. He was born into the Great Depression and life in the country was dusty roads and hard times. It was like Hell had come to breakfast and there wasn't any.
