DYEING OF SILK WITH NATURAL DYE Chromolaena odorata

Aggressive weed Chromolaena oderata is found to be excellent source of natural dye whose invasive is a major problem for the farmers and archaeologists as it destroys crop fields and ancient monuments through its free uncontrollable growth. It can be profitably used as the natural dye as dyeing process requires large amount of raw material. Thus farmers get rid of the weed and at the same time can use otherwise waste material as the source of natural dye.
