Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) development is multifactorial and can be defined as a downward descent of pelvic organs which includes the bladder uterus post-hysterectomy vaginal cuff and the small or large intestine resulting in protrusion of the vaginal walls uterus or both. The International Continence Society includes also rectal prolapses. Pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) is a major healthcare problem which is characterized by pelvic pain pelvic organ prolapse urinary incontinence and fecal incontinence.
